1995 – Inception of Plastene Group
- Incorporation of Plastene India Limited as a private limited company.
2005 – Progression into manufacturing
- Commenced manufacturing of flexible packaging products and small sacks at Kutch in the state of Gujarat, India. Started with woven sacks for cement and fertiliser and gradually covered other products like Tarpaulin, Laminates, Flexible Packaging for food / Pharma / Chemical with an installed capacity of 21,000 M.T. p.a..
2006 – Commenced FIBC production
- Entered FIBC which is a more value added product.
- Conversion of our Company from Private Limited to Public Limited Company Obtained ISO 9001:2000, BVQI Certificate.
- KASEZ unit commences operations.
2007 – Media coverage
- Plastene India rated by “Business World Magazine” as India’s best performing Mid-sized company.
- Plastene India Limited unit – 2 commences operations.
2008 – International participation
- Export Excellence award by All India Flat Tape Manufacturer Association (AIFTMA) on 33rd Annual Session held at Agra in February 2008 in large scale sectors for export of woven sacks and fabrics.
- Participated in Interpack in Dusseldorf (Germany), the biggest exhibition for packaging.
- Awarded the status of Star Export House by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
2009 – National Showcase
- Participated in PLASTINDIA 2009, 7th International Plastic Exhibition and Conference, New Delhi Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs (EPCES) export awards for 2007-08 to KSEZ unit for best SEZ factory.
- Inauguration of 100% EOU unit at Santej.
- Awarded the status of Star Export House by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
- Export Excellence award by All India Flat Tape Manufacturer Association (AIFTMA) for export of woven sacks and fabrics.
- Awarded as GAIL’s Top Customer Award (Ranked 8) for 2008-09.
- Our Company has increased its combined production capacity to 55,000 MTPA.
2010 – Exhibition participation
- Participated in Plastmaegan in Mexico city.
- Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs (EPCES) export awards for 2008-09 was granted to our KSEZ unit for best SEZ MSME factory for plastic products

2012 – Accomplishments

- Received the Silver Trophy for Plasticon Award 2012 in the category of Best Performing Enterprise (with a turnover of Rs. 101 crores and above category) at PlastIndia 2012.
- Received the Silver Trophy for Plasticon Award 2012 in the category of Outstanding Export at PlastIndia 2012.
- Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs (EPCES) export awards for 2010-11 was granted to our KSEZ unit for best SEZ MSME factory for plastic products.
2013 – Awarded best MSME
- Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs (EPCES) export awards for 2011-12 was granted to our KSEZ unit for best SEZ MSME factory for plastic products.
- KSEZ unit gets BRCGS certficate for the manufacturing of food grade FIBCs
2014 – 2nd largest manufacturer of FIBC
- “Became Second largest manufacturer of FIBC (Jumbo Bags) in India”, fastest to reach the milestone in a span of just 8 years.
- Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs (EPCES) export awards for 2012-13 was granted to our KSEZ unit for best SEZ MSME factory for plastic products.
2019 – Commencement of production at Sanand facility
- K.P. Woven Private Limited commences operations with Production Capacity of 12000 mt per annum.
2020 – Integration of Gopala Polyplast
- Plastene Group acquires Gopala Polyplast Limited now known as HCP Plastene Bulkpack Limited with a production capacity of 15000 mt per annum.
- Gopala Polyplast Limited was incorporated in 1984 by it’s erstwhile promoters and was listed in 1998 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. https://cheapochecks.com/
2022 – Introducing Fusion®
- Introduction of Fusion the Stitchless FIBC bag.
- K.P.Woven gets BRCGS certificate for the manufacturing of food grade FIBCs.
- Acquired license to manufacture Type D FIBC bags.
